My first major Shakespeare role since Ophelia in 1981. In a blistering July heatwave, in the open air, I relished the privilege of playing Rosalind. At the age of 40, I played my last juvenile; the fact that my Orlando was a rather dishy and talented 27 year old had no influence whatever on my enjoyment of the role. No, sir.
